In 2018 we began asking how we could use our property to address the need for affordable housing in Minnetonka. This led to several city-led meetings with our neighborhood in 2020 and then an eventual partnership with Habitat for Humanity in 2021.
We started the website Lovemakesroom.org in 2022 to create space in our hearts and neighborhoods for affordable housing to become a reality in Minnetonka, Hopkins, and surrounding areas.
Currently, we have started construction on one single-family home with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and we are looking to develop the south end of our property and parking lot with up twelve more homes. Follow the progress and sign up to get involved at Lovemakesroom.org
