Join in What God Is Doing

Giving at Mills Church is an act of worship — a response to God’s generosity and grace in our lives. As a church, we are committed to living out the Gospel through worship, community, and service. Your giving helps support the life of our church, care for one another, and extend the love of Christ both locally and beyond. We give not out of obligation, but as a joyful expression of trust in God, believing that everything we have ultimately belongs to Him. Thank you for partnering with us in what God is doing in and through Mills Church.

KIDS Ministry

HomeKIDS Ministry

Welcome to Mills Kids

At Mills Church, we believe children are an important part of our church family. Our Kids Ministry exists to help children grow in their relationship with Jesus in a safe, loving, and joyful environment.

We encourage families to worship together as a whole church community. Children begin the Sunday service with their families and then participate in age-appropriate learning designed just for them.

Through worship, teaching, creative activities, and meaningful friendships, Mills Kids helps children begin building a strong spiritual foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

Sunday Morning Kids Ministry

10:30 AM Worship Service

Children ages 3 years old through 5th grade begin the worship service together with their families.

During the sermon portion of the service, children are dismissed to participate in Mills Kids, where they experience engaging lessons focused on the Way of Jesus.

Each week includes:

  • Bible teaching designed for kids

  • Meaningful friendships with other children

  • Caring adult mentors and leaders

  • Snacks and interactive activities

  • Crafts or games that reinforce the scripture lesson

After the lesson time, children return to the worship service to rejoin their families for Communion and the Stations of Prayer, Gratitude, and Generosity.

Our Heart for Kids

Mills Kids is designed to help children learn, love, and live the teachings of Jesus.

We believe children grow best when they are surrounded by caring adults and a supportive church family. Our goal is to partner with parents in helping children develop faith that is genuine, joyful, and rooted in Christ.

Leadership

The Mills Kids program is directed by Lee Gropel Swenson, who works alongside a dedicated team of volunteers committed to helping children grow in faith and community.

Safety & Volunteers

At Mills Church, the safety and well-being of every child is a priority. All volunteers serving in Mills Kids are trained and committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment where children can grow in their faith.

Take Your Next Step in Community

There is a place for you here

At Mills Church, we are learning together how to live in God’s beloved community — growing in love, wisdom, and generosity in the way we relate to God, ourselves, others, and creation.

Whether you are exploring faith, questioning, healing, or seeking deeper connection, you are welcome here.

We believe belonging comes before everything else. You are invited to participate in this community in whatever way feels meaningful — through relationships, shared practices, or acts of service.

What Shapes Our Life Together

The way of love we are learning to live

We desire to live into the kind of life Jesus described — one marked by love, justice, humility, and deep connection with God, others, and creation.

We pursue justice, love kindness, and walk humbly, seeking healing, restoration, and mutual flourishing in our relationships and in the world.

We believe belonging is a fundamental human need. We walk alongside one another with care, humility, and mutual support through all of life.

We welcome people from all backgrounds and perspectives. We listen, learn, and grow together with curiosity, humility, and openness.

We believe transformation is possible. We commit to becoming people shaped by love — in how we live, relate, and engage the world.

We’d Love to Connect With You
