Every Sunday Morning at 9am our Mills Kids Team is ready to love and teach our kids to Know, Love, and Live for God.  Our Children's Community Classes run from Sunday September 13th through June 13th.

Pre K - 1st Grade meet in the lower level of our main building.

2nd Grade - 5th Grade meet in the middle level of our annex. (East building)

Children's Church

takes place at about 11am, which is midway through the main worship gathering at 10:30am.  We encourage our families to experience and participate together in our worship service.  Children, 4 years old to 3rd Grade, participate in our main worship time and then are dismissed for their own learning community for the remainder of the worship service.  Children's Church meets in the lower level by the Library every Sunday throughout the year.

Little Wheels Nursery

We have two nurseries,  Infants 0-1 years of age and 2-3 year old.  The nurseries are available during our entire worship gathering at 10:30am and during our 9am classes from September through June.

Our Garden Ministry happens during the Summer.  Children 3rd grade through 5th grade are dismissed midway through our worship gathering to learn and grow while working in our vegetable garden.  All food grown is donated to the ICA foodshelf.

About millsKIDS

Our millsKIDS mission is to partner with parents in guiding our children to know, love and live for God.  Each kids’ Bible class is taught by a team of teachers using a large and small group format.  Kids grow spiritually and relationally through age-appropriate worship, interactive teaching, conversations, and activities.

To Know
millsKIDS Bible classes begin at age 2. The focus of our 2s & 3s class is to know who God is.  Each Bible story is taught in a large group and then acted out with creative and carefully chosen props. Children will see, hear, and participate in the Bible story in a relevant, meaningful way.  Children grow in their learning through age-appropriate music, activities, conversations, and play. 

To Know and Love
Knowing God and His story is a first step to loving Him.  Preschool-1st grade classes continue spiritual formation by knowing and loving God and His story.  Large group worship, scripture memory, giving, and prayer facilitate spiritual growth and draw the hearts of kids to the heart of God. The Bible lesson, taught in small groups, is connected each week to the large Bible timeline emphasizing that God’s story is one story of redemption that is continuing today.  Bible stories are interactive and hands-on so learning is fun and memorable.

To Know, Love and Live for Jesus
2nd-5th grade continue their Bible classes in our east building called the Annex.  Lively worship, focused giving, and prayer continue in a large group context and then each grade has a teaching time in small groups.  Kids increase the level of scripture memory in our Bible Basics memory program.  Activities and games reinforce the lessons and memory.  Bibles are opened and used every Sunday in small groups and the study of God’s word goes deeper by asking “What is God saying to me about Himself in this passage?”  Conversations on living for Jesus as a result of our knowledge and love for Him are intentionally guided.  We also begin serving opportunities together at ministries like Feed My Starving Children.
